Ella Simko – PeopleConnect Rock Star of the Year! Five Reasons We Love Ella

We are thrilled to announce our PeopleConnect Rock Star of the Year – Ella Simko!

Ella has been with PeopleConnect for three years and was promoted to her role as a Performance Marketing Strategist a little over a year into her tenure with the company. In that short time, she has managed to win the love, admiration, and respect of every human and dog on our team.

She has been an integral part of product launches from ideation to execution, and it’s no embellishment to say that Ella can do it all. In the last year alone, she’s been a major contributor to our most recently launched product–OmniWatch™, managed multiple other large-scale projects, provided mentorship for our intern program, brings new ideas to the table, and is constantly optimizing campaigns.

Her excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving know-how have helped her immensely when working with other teams, making her an invaluable resource to PeopleConnect. She always comes to work with a positive attitude and her optimistic outlook is a welcome addition to any project.

At the close of each year, our entire company has the difficult decision of choosing the Rock Star of the Year. Everyone on our team has a hand in our successes, so it’s a challenge to select just one person annually.

Through an anonymous vote, employees choose the rock star who had the most impact on the team throughout the year. Ella was selected by her peers as the person who provided the most assists in 2023.

With all of the wonderful talents that Ella brings to our team, it’s difficult to narrow the list to just five, but we’ll attempt. Here are five reasons (which are also our core pillars 😉) why Ella rocks!

Innovative: Ella brings new and fresh ideas to the table every day. When she’s not juggling her multiple PeopleConnect hats, Ella is usually helping propel one of the many teams she collaborates with toward a successful outcome. Whether it’s a perspective that hadn’t been considered before or a more efficient way to perform a task, she’s always open to pushing the envelope.

Collaborative: If you’ve ever had the pleasure of working on a project with Ella, you know how much fun it is to be on a team with her. In between problem-solving, Ella’s often found entertaining colleagues with her knack for off-the-cuff humor that comes with a light sprinkling of sarcasm to keep you on your toes.

Adaptive: If the phrase, “rolling with the punches” were a person, it’d be Ella. She has an uncanny ability to adapt to new challenges and never shies away from any task. She has worked on some of the biggest projects at PeopleConnect and can pivot on a dime when priorities shift. Much like a marketing chameleon, she can always find a way to use her experience and knowledge to help find solutions.

Trustworthy: If Ella says something is getting done, it’s getting done. An “Ella guarantee” is as good as gold around the office. Many staffers have even indicated they would entrust her with their PIN, SSN, and mother’s maiden name if needed.

Fun: We all know that Ella is fun, but saying that she’s just “fun” is the understatement of the year because she’s a blast! Find yourself an opportunity to have a conversation with this jokester. You’ll see that she’s not only one of the most capable and qualified members of the PeopleConnect team, but she’ll have you rolling on the floor laughing within a few seconds of any interaction.
