This Privacy Policy describes the information practices on the PeopleConnect.us website at http://www.PeopleConnect.us/(along with all subdomains, collectively, the "Site"). This Privacy Policy is only applicable to the Site and not to any other websites that you may be able to access from the Site, each of which may have data collection, storage, and use practices and policies that differ materially from this Privacy Policy.

I. TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

Personal Information Collected. Depending on how you use our Site, we may require you to provide information that personally identifies you ("Personal Information"). Personal Information may include the following categories of information: (1) Contact Data (such as your name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number); and (2) Demographic Data (such as your zip code, date of birth and age). If you communicate with us by email, post messages to any of our chat groups, use the Suppression Tool, bulletin boards, or forums, or otherwise complete online forms, surveys, or contest entries, we may collect this Personal Information from you directly.


Traffic Data Collected. We may automatically track and collect the following categories of information when you visit our Site including: (1) events data including: (i) Internet Protocol ("IP") address, (ii) access times, (iii) browser type and language, (iv) Internet Service Provider ("ISP"), (v) the pages you visit on our Site, (vi) the Content you view on our Site and (vi) the URL of the page that referred you to our website; (2) domain servers; and (3) types of devices accessing the Site (collectively "Traffic Data").

The Site contains links to websites not operated by PeopleConnect. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. Please review the privacy policies of each site you visit. We may also make chat rooms, forums, message boards, and news groups available to you. Please understand that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes accessible to the public. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your Personal Information in a public forum.

5. Updates and Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update or modify this Privacy Policy by posting such update or modification on the Site, or by other means as required under applicable law. Any such change, update, or modification will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site. If you do not agree to the new changes, please stop using the Site.

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or other age as required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. PeopleConnect will not collect additional categories of personal information or use the personal information we collected for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.

SALES/SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

In the preceding twelve (12) months, PeopleConnect has not sold the personal information of its users. In the preceding twelve (12) months, PeopleConnect has also not shared the personal information of its users to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes, including cross-context behavioral advertising.

YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Subject to applicable law, if you are a resident of California, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, or Colorado, you may have the following rights:

  • To Know and Access: to obtain a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you. (Note that this right only applies to personal information relating to you, and not to any other user.)
  • Deletion: to request that PeopleConnect delete your personal information. This right may be limited to the extent that PeopleConnect is permitted or required by applicable law to retain information. (Note that if you request deletion of your personal information, you may no longer be able to use or access the Site. If you decide to use or access the Site again, PeopleConnect may consider this a new account, and may collect personal information associated with that account in accordance with this Privacy Policy.)
  • Opt-Out of "Sale" and Certain Sharing Practices: We do not sell the information of our users. We also do not share the information of our users with third parties for marketing or advertising, including cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Correction: to request the correction of inaccurate personal information that we may have on file about you.

We will not discriminate against you, in terms of price or services that we offer, if you submit any of the requests listed above.


Verification and Appeal Process: We are required by law to take reasonable steps to verify your identity prior to responding to your request. Please note that your exercise of these rights is subject to certain exemptions to safeguard the public interest (e.g., the prevention or detection of crime) and our interests (e.g., the maintenance of legal privilege). If we are unable to process your request via you authenticating yourself on the Site, we may verify your request by asking for information sufficient to confirm your identity, such as your name, email address, and phone number. Requests to exercise these rights may be granted in whole, in part, or not at all, depending on the scope and nature of the request and as permitted by applicable law. Where required by applicable law, we will notify you if we reject your request, and notify you of the reasons we are unable to honor your request.


If you are a resident of Colorado, Virginia, or Connecticut, you have the right to appeal a request we deny when we have verified your identity and still decline to honor your request. The process for that appeal will be sent to you separately if your request is denied.


Authorized Agent: Depending on where you live, you may have the right to use an authorized agent on your behalf to exercise a privacy right discussed above. If you are an authorized agent acting on behalf of a user to communicate with us or to exercise a privacy right discussed above, you must be able to demonstrate that you have the requisite authorization to act on behalf of the user. If you are an authorized agent trying to exercise rights on behalf of an PeopleConnect user, then you can make a request on the user’s behalf by contacting us as set forth below in the "Contact Information" section: Such requests must include a written authorization from the consumer that includes the consumer’s full name, address, telephone number and valid email address used by the consumer to interact with PeopleConnect that is signed by the consumer and clearly bestows upon the agent the proper authority. Alternatively, an acting agent can provide a valid power of attorney signed by the consumer on the agent’s behalf and a valid email address used by the consumer to interact with PeopleConnect. In addition, for a request under the Right to Know, Right to Delete or Right to Correct, the email address of the consumer will be used to separately verify the agent’s authority directly with the consumer.
