The Importance of Company Culture at PeopleConnect

At PeopleConnect, "company culture" goes beyond just being a buzzword. It forms the foundation of our organization, bringing together our employees through shared values, attitudes, and behaviors (and even shared song choices when it comes to duets at our after-work karaoke nights). Shannon Turner, our Sr. Director of HR, emphasizes the significance of company culture, explaining how it directly impacts employee engagement - “When our team members feel a strong sense of belonging, purpose, and camaraderie, they become more motivated, and ultimately, more productive.”

Not only are there games and a Jam Room (yes, a room filled with instruments so employees can jam out together) readily available in the office, but we also have a dedicated Slack channel for anybody to submit activity ideas. Attending theme parks, competing in fantasy sports leagues, and going to arcades are just a few recent examples of team building that PeopleConnect has hosted.

We strongly believe that a healthy and happy workforce is more committed and motivated. A positive and inclusive company culture sets the stage for greatness. It allows us to attract and retain top talent, strengthen creative collaborations, and drives us to achieve our organizational goals.

Maddison Penrod, PeopleConnect’s Executive Assistant, holds a pivotal role in cultivating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere, both within and beyond the workplace. From organizing office barbecues to arranging team excursions to baseball games, nearby parks/beaches, or the latest restaurants in town, Maddison consistently ensures that everyone's preferences and requirements are accommodated (including dietary restrictions, preferred ambiance, and more).
