Swinging for Success: How PeopleConnect Hit It Out of the Park at the Padres Game!

It was May 17th, 2023 and the stage was set for an epic showdown between the San Diego Padres and the Kansas City Royals. The night had it all–camaraderie, heart-pounding baseball action, and memories that will last a lifetime.

At PeopleConnect, we know that building relationships and providing opportunities to socialize outside the office can do wonders for collaboration. The Petco outing and our other monthly events help build an environment where we can get to know each other, decompress from work, and of course–have fun! We wanted to create an atmosphere where colleagues could joke, kick back, and enjoy some quality time together (and let's not forget about the hotdogs and nachos!). With the San Diego sun shining down on us and the stadium buzzing with excitement, you could feel the energy in the air!

As the game unfolded, tension built as the score stayed nail-bitingly close. Alas, the Kansas City Royals managed a narrow victory over our beloved Padres, leaving us San Diegans a tad disappointed. Despite the loss, we didn't let that dampen our spirits! We appreciated the thrilling performance put on by both teams and celebrated the sheer joy of being at the ballpark. And to keep the good vibes going, we all headed to Bub's (a post-Padres company favorite) for after-game snacks!

But the outing wasn't just about the game. It gave us plenty of opportunities to interact with each other in a relaxed and informal setting. We had the chance to dive into conversations beyond work, share personal stories, and forge new friendships. Who knew that cheering for our team could bring us even closer together?
